From November 20 to 22, 2024, the World Vocational and Technical Education Development Conference was held in Tianjin. The Conference was co-organized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, National Commission of the People’s Republic of China for UNESCO and Tianjin Municipal People’s Government. With the theme of “Innovation Empowers the Future, Skills Enlighten New Life”, it attracted more than 1,200 guests from over 100 countries and regions around the world to explore and guide the innovative trajectory of vocational and technical education.
During the conference, a range of activities were organized, including bilateral talks, parallel sessions and ministerial roundtable discussions, offering a platform for global educators to engage in deep exchanges and intellectual collisions. The conference not only implemented the spirit of the National Education Conference, but also served as an important showcase for China to enhance the international influence of its vocational education.
He Ying, President of Shanghai Donghai Vocational and Technical College, attended the conference on behalf of Donghai College. She engaged in discussions with global education representatives about the future trends of vocational and technical education, demonstrating the foresight and inclusive attitude in the field of vocational education.
Proudly, Donghai College was honored with a number of awards at the conference. TRICHA LOUBNA, Director of Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT), presented the honorary certificate of “Excellent Cooperation Unit in Vocational Education” to Donghai College, which is a recognition of our excellent contribution in international cooperation in vocational education. At the same time, Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association also honored Donghai College with the “Outstanding Contribution to Vocational Education Cooperation” award, which further confirms our leadership and influence in the international vocational education arena. In addition, Ms. Li Jing from the International Exchange Office of Donghai College was awarded the title of “Outstanding Individual in Vocational Education Cooperation between China and North Africa” for her outstanding performance in vocational education cooperation between China and North Africa.
These honors not only testify to the achievements of Donghai College in the field of international vocational education, but also recognize its firm determination to continue to promote international exchanges and cooperation.
