School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering currently has more than 1000 students. The school boasts a highly qualified faculty composed of nearly 70 experts in education, industry, and skilled craftsmen. The teaching facilities are well-equipped and the engineering training center boasts over 30 specialized training laboratories combining teaching, research, production, and training. It has established several training bases, including the Shanghai Municipal-level Intelligent Manufacturing Virtual Simulation Training Base, the Shanghai Municipal-level Backbone Teacher Training Base for Mechanical and Electrical Technology in Higher Education Institutions, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Robot Training Base, and the IHK Sino-German Dual System (Mechatronics) Training Base. The school has initiated Sino-German cooperative education programs, resulting in fruitful teaching and research achievements, and remarkable performance in various skills competitions for both faculty and students. The school has been successively honored with numerous awards, including the Shanghai Excellent Teaching Team, Shanghai Innovative Teaching Team, Shanghai Quality Courses, and Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award. Graduates have achieved a 100% employment rate for ten consecutive years and are employed by large state-owned enterprises, foreign enterprises, and joint ventures in Shanghai.
