Its primary functions are to implement national policies, align closely with market demands, and provide various training programs for both on-campus students and working professionals. In 2007, it was approved by the Shanghai Self-Study Examination Committee to enroll self-study examination students. In the same year, with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the “School of Adult Education” was established to offer adult higher education diploma programs. In 2008, it was renamed the “School of Continuing Education”. The school plans and organizes various certificate training and examinations for each major, enabling students to obtain multiple skill certificates while completing their associate or bachelor’s degree programs, which lays a solid foundation for their employment and career development. Over the years, many adult education students have graduated, with an employment rate of 98%. Currently, the school has 11 classes across three grades, with 430 adult education students enrolled.
