Shanghai Donghai Innovative Technician College is one of the first 10 innovative technician colleges in Shanghai. Aligned with Shanghai's construction and development imperatives, Shanghai Donghai Innovative Technician College is dedicated to high-skilled technical talent development, especially focusing on talent market demands in three leading industries, six industrial clusters, and the Yangtze River Delta’s integration development.

In March 2024, Shanghai Donghai Innovative Technician College, in partnership with the Shanghai Technician Association, initiated the  Master-Apprentice program. Twelve highly - skilled masters were engaged as mentors for this program at the college. This program places a strong emphasis on the close collaboration and personalized guidance between mentors and apprentices. By leveraging rich work experience and significant professional influence, the skilled masters will help the apprentices to develop professional knowledge, enhance practical operation skills as well as improve their innovative thinking and problem - solving capabilities, with the ultimate goal of cultivating high - skilled leaders with an international perspective.
