School of Education undertakes five key functions of Shanghai Donghai College: professional education, general education, language center, social education, and international education (education for international students). The school offers such majors as Preschool Education, Infant and Toddler Care Services & Management. It is committed to cultivating high-quality, skilled preschool teachers and childcare professionals with the philosophy of “Esteem Virtue, Excel in Education”. The school has an outstanding staff and has won numerous awards in Teaching Skills and Curriculum Construction competitions at national and municipal level. Students have also achieved several National college student competition awards. The school has established a 4,600-square-meter preschool education training center, 50 off-campus practice bases, and 4 on-campus teacher training bases to enhance students’ teaching abilities in early childhood education and broaden their employment prospects. The employment rate of graduates has reached over 97%.
