On February 28, 2025, the six-month “Cross-Border E-Commerce” program at South African - Silk Road College of Shanghai Donghai College was successfully completed.
Since September 2024, 22 students from Ikhala Vocational and Technical College of South Africa have started their cross-border e-commerce learning journey with full English instruction under the careful organization and professional guidance of Shanghai Donghai College. The teaching method combining theory and practice has demonstrated the charm of the development of China’s e-commerce industry in an all-round way. Teachers of the project team of Shanghai Donghai College gave full play to their professional advantages, closely combined with the actual situation of the South African market, and carefully designed a series of both practical and cutting-edge teaching content.
Starting with an introduction to Overview of China's Cross-border E-commerce, students gain an understanding of the project background and the booming development of China's cross-border e-commerce market. E-commerce Store Design and Shaping teaches how to create a professional and attractive online store. The Art and Skills of Product Listing enhances the visual presentation of products. Live Streaming Marketing Strategies and Practices delves into the operational rules and practical techniques of live streaming e-commerce, nurturing skilled live streaming marketers. Lastly, Cross-border Services and Customer Experience Optimization focuses on customer service and cross-border logistics, ensuring students experience the entire process of cross-border shopping.
The successful completion of this training program not only marks a new breakthrough for Shanghai Donghai College in international education cooperation, but also cultivates a group of internationally competitive cross-border e-commerce talents for South Africa.
