On June 4, 2025, Mr. Choi Ho-seong, Vice President of Kyungwoon University, South Korea, accompanied by Ms. Song Jeong, Director of the International Office, visited Shanghai Donghai College. The visiting delegation was warmly received by President He Ying.
On behalf of Shanghai Donghai College, President He Ying extended a welcome to Vice President Choi and his delegation, noting their visit coincided with Shanghai's finest season, and provided an overview of the College's heritage and its achievements in development over the past three decades. She highlighted the College's commitment to connotative development and internationalization, showcasing accomplishments in education and teaching, student competitions, overseas vocational education initiatives, as well as the College's social influence and comprehensive rankings. President He Ying emphasized that Kyungwoon University, with its strengths in specialized disciplines and developmental philosophy, is a highly compatible and like-minded partner for Shanghai Donghai College. She expressed the hope that both institutions could commence cooperation in academic disciplines such as Nursing and Aviation, working together on talent cultivation and student employment.
Vice President Choi Ho-seong expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He remarked that despite his multiple visits to Shanghai, the city's rapid changes continued to impress him. He outlined Kyungwoon University's strengths in diverse fields including Aviation, Healthcare, IT, and Semiconductors, noting its deep collaborations with industry giants like Korean Air and Asian Airlines. He particularly highlighted the University's comprehensive leadership in the drone sector, achieved through a decade-long strategic focus. Vice President Choi acknowledged the strong alignment between two institutions in their internationalization efforts and educational directions. He expressed a desire for in-depth cooperation on programs such as 3+1, 3+2 articulation pathways, as well as Master's and Doctoral degree cultivation.
Following the talks, the two parties initialed cooperative documents including an Inter-University Exchange Agreement. Subsequently, Vice President Choi Ho-seong and his delegation toured relevant teaching and practical training facilities at Shanghai Donghai College.
