Shanghai Summer School Study Day at Shanghai Donghai College Held

On June 18, 2025, the Study Day of the 2025 Shanghai Summer School Chinese Culinary Culture and Craft Program was held at Shanghai Donghai College. The event welcomed 20 international students from France, Russia, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Uzbekistan, India, and other countries. The program is hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by Shanghai Polytechnic University, with Shanghai Donghai College serving as a co-organizer. Ms. Tong Xinjie, Director of the International Education Office at Shanghai Polytechnic University; Prof. Meng Zhaoshang, Director of the International Exchange College at Shanghai Donghai College; Zhang Chun, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Employment Office; Prof. Xu Tiemei, Dean of the School of Education; Mr. Ma Xianglong, Party Secretary of the School of Education; and Ms. Liu Peiyu, Program Director of Aviation Service at the School of Aviation. They participated in campus activities and accompanied the delegation on off-campus visits.

Upon arrival, the international students first toured various teaching, training, and practical facilities at the School of Aviation. Highlights included exploring the static aircraft cabin and gaining firsthand experience in the dynamic A320 flight simulator, where they observed the full spectrum of in-flight service procedures and emergency response protocols. They also donned training suits to practice emergency evacuation drills. At the School of Education, the visitors engaged in cultural exchange activities with Chinese students and engaged in a hands-on experience of traditional Chinese craft by participating in a hand-painted round fan workshop, an activity showcasing intangible cultural heritage. In the afternoon, the delegation traveled to the Guanghua Creative Park for a field visit, where they held discussions with leaders from the Creative Park and Shanghai Donghai College, sharing insights on China's economic development achievements and exchanging perspectives on international cooperation and cultural exchange.
