On October 23, 2025, Shanghai Donghai College (SDC) held an expanded meeting of its Foreign Affairs Work Leading Group. Presided over by President He Ying, the meeting was attended by Group members, with department heads and college deans present as observers.
President He briefly reviewed recent international exchange work, stressing the need to deepen internationalized education and break new ground, especially in preparing Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. To this end, the college invited Wang Jianhua, an MOE-appointed expert in Sino-foreign cooperative education research and evaluation and former director of Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, to give guidance.
Titled “Promoting High-Quality Development through High-Level Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education”, Mr. Wang’s report covered policy backgrounds, value, feasibility for private colleges, key application points, and MOE’s approval and quality standards. With typical cases, he highlighted how such programs boost discipline development, talent cultivation and faculty building, and offered targeted suggestions for SDC’s ongoing program preparation.
Party Secretary Cao Rongrong thanked Mr. Wang, urging attendees to apply his insights to drive progress. She also called for more quality thematic sessions to enhance the college’s internationalization awareness.
In her closing, President He noted the report’s high relevance and guidance. She urged all to link work to the 14th Five-Year Plan review and 15th Five-Year Plan formulation, clarifying goals and paths for future internationalized education.
