On March 17, 2026, the Inaugural Meeting of the Specialized Committee for International Exchange of Shanghai Private Education Association was held at Shanghai Normal University Tianhua College. The event was attended by Gao Deyi, President of Shanghai Private Education Association; Chen Weizhi, Vice President of China Private Education Association; He Ying, President of Shanghai Donghai College (SDC); as well as leaders from relevant municipal departments and private universities across Shanghai.
The meeting was presided over by Gong Chunlei, President of Tianhua College. Ye Caifu, Chairman of the Board of Tianhua College, and President Gao Deyi delivered speeches successively. During the meeting, Tianhua College was elected as the first chairman unit of the Specialized Committee, while five universities including SDC were elected as vice-chairman units.
Affiliated to Shanghai Private Education Association, the Specialized Committee for International Exchange traces its origin to the “Shanghai Private University International Exchange and Cooperation Alliance” initiated by Tianhua College and other institutions. It is a voluntary organization composed of various private schools and relevant professionals in Shanghai.
Adhering to the philosophy of “co-construction, sharing and win-win”, the Specialized Committee is dedicated to building an international exchange platform, integrating high-quality overseas educational resources, conducting thematic research and decision-making consultation on private education internationalization, promoting project cooperation and quality assurance, supporting the internationalization strategies of member units, and comprehensively enhancing the global influence and competitiveness of private education in Shanghai.(Correspondent: Liu Yichen)
