On July 18, 2026, during the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Shanghai Donghai College (SDC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute to jointly build an International Embodied Intelligence Skills Talent Training Platform.
The signing was held at the Global Forum on International Cooperation for Industrial AI in Minhang District. He Ying, President of SDC and Liu Yanjing, Party Secretary of the Shanghai AI Research Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides.
Under the agreement, the two sides will leverage SDC’s vocational education strengths and the institute’s resources in AI and industrial embodied intelligence. They will promote Chinese AI vocational standards globally, develop international-certified humanoid robot training systems, and cultivate high-skilled talents for Belt and Road countries through a “campus + industrial park + research institute” model.
The cooperation marks a key step for Donghai College to advance its internationalized education philosophy, and for the institute to build a global industrial AI ecosystem. Going forward, both parties will deeply integrate AI into vocational education and contribute to global skills governance and the development of Chinese intelligent manufacturing.
The forum also released the Industrial AI: Governance Framework white paper, launched the UNIDO Global Industrial AI Supply-Demand Matching Platform, and issued the Industrial Embodied Intelligence Ecosystem Empowerment Initiative. (Correspondent: Lü Qian)
