To further deepen vocational education exchanges and cooperation between China and Singapore and advance the integration of industry and education in the digital creative sector, a teacher delegation from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Singapore visited Shanghai Donghai College (SDC) from September 20 to 21. The delegation visited leading enterprises and campus training bases successively, holding pragmatic discussions on skilled personnel development and in-depth inter-school collaboration.

On the afternoon of September 20, accompanied by Zuo Tiantian, Dean of the School of Digital Creativity, Ding Yichen, Director of the Training Center, and Liu Yichen from the International Exchange Office, the delegation paid a visit to BOKE. The two sides held talks on the“games + education”industry-education integration model. BOKE team introduced its core business segments, including the vocational skill certification system, international competition portfolio and overseas vocational education cooperation. Both sides exchanged views on school-enterprise collaborative education pathways and talent training models, before exchanging commemorative gifts and posing for a group photo.

On the morning of September 21, the delegation arrived at SDC’s campus. Meng Zhaoshang, Director of the International Exchange Office, Zuo Tiantian, Dean of the School of Digital Creativity, Ge Song, Vice Dean of the school, and Tan Xin, Program Director, received the delegation. The delegation toured a host of featured training facilities, including the AIGC Short Drama Studio, Lanxie Intangible Cultural Heritage Studio, Cloisonné Enamel Workshop, Converged Media Live Streaming Studio and 3D Printing Workshop. Through the immersive visit, they gained first-hand knowledge of SDC’s integrated education model of “professional skills+cultural inheritance”, and expressed keen interest in its practices in intangible cultural heritage revitalization and AI-enabled teaching.

During the discussion session, Dean Zuo Tiantian first gave a detailed overview of the discipline layout, training system and overall development of the School of Digital Creativity. He noted that the school runs multiple specialized training studios for AIGC creation, intangible cultural heritage crafts and converged media operation. With a focus on industry-education integration and competition-driven learning, faculty and students of the school have won numerous awards in major competitions in recent years.
Director Meng Zhaoshang reviewed the years-long cooperation between the two institutions. He remarked that ITE Singapore is a key international partner of SDC. For years, the two sides have carried out diverse exchanges ranging from student study tours to teacher visits, laying a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. He expressed the hope that both sides will continue to maintain regular teacher-student exchanges, jointly push for deeper inter-school collaboration in 2027, and expand cooperation into more areas such as the launch of the “Donghai Workshop” and the recruitment of foreign teachers.
The ITE Singapore delegation spoke highly of SDC’s distinctive education features and teaching capabilities, and expressed its willingness to carry out in-depth cooperation in joint game development projects, student collaborative research projects and cultural exchange programs. The two sides also held in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics including the impact of AI technology on vocational education and the application of AI tools in classroom teaching.
This visit has further consolidated the foundation of bilateral cooperation, and injected new momentum into SDC’s efforts to advance the internationalization of vocational education and explore new pathways for industry-education integration in the digital creative sector.
